Serious injuries involved in Charlotte County crash

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — A two-vehicle collision occurred Tuesday morning at the intersection of Deep Creek Boulevard and Seasons Drive in Punta Gorda, Florida Highway Patrol reports.

This crash prompted a trauma alert for one of the victims, meaning he will be flown out from the scene, a Charlotte County Fire and EMS official said.

There is currently a roadblock in place and Charlotte Sheriff’s department is directing traffic, an official said.
