CAYO COSTA, Fla. — Two people and a dog were forced to cut their boat trip short Sunday when their vessel caught on fire, but no one was hurt, authorities said. The fire broke out about 200 feet from shore off Cayo Costa. The boaters saw smoke coming from the console and rushed back to the beach, where they anchored and left the vessel behind. The fire was put out, but the boat’s condition is unclear. No further information was immediately available.
