NAPLES, Fla. — A detective’s car was nearly hit into a canal on Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Wild Turkey Drive and Immokalee Road, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

A car sped around a school bus as children were walking out. The detective, who was parked behind the bus, drove after it, according to a FHP trooper. However, the detective was hit by another car that disregarded the bus and was knocked into a canal.
