Veteran Boca Grande firefighter suspended after use of racial slur

BOCA GRANDE, Fla. – A veteran firefighter was suspended after posting a racial slur to his Facebook page.

Lt. Michael D’Angelo, a 20-year veteran, was suspended without pay for the Sept. 23 post.

The department is investigating the incident.
