FORT MYERS, Fla. – A remnant of the past could become history as the Florida Department of Transportation partners with the city to push forward plans to convert a pair of one-way streets to two-ways.

First and Second streets allow traffic to travel in only one direction for about a 1.5 mile stretch between Seaboard and Fowler streets. But FDOT wants to begin construction to change that.
