FORT MYERS, Fla. — Beginning Saturday, tamper seals will be mandatory on gas pumps across Florida to prevent skimmers. The new bill states if a gas station doesn’t have these seals, they will have five days to comply before risk being shut down. Skimming is now a second degree felony and skimmers can face up to a maximum of 15 years instead of five.
