PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – The shores of Punta Gorda may seem a little different this weekend as pirates have invaded Fisherman’s Village, taking a small break from life at sea. For three days the 7th annual Pirate Fest returns as visitors can see pirates in action at their authentic camp, shop vendors, listen to live music and even view a ship to shore battle both Saturday and Sunday. Festivities kick off Friday at Noon and admission is free, although a $2 voluntary admission price is greatly appreciated. For a full schedule of events and weekend activities, click here. Fisherman’s Village is located at 1200 West Retta Esplanade, in Punta Gorda.
