WINK Service Award: Courtney Satkoski

The WINK Service Award Winner this week is Florida Gulf Coast University professor Courtney Satkoski. She was nominated by her former student Felicia Nudo. Satkoski has been a member of FGCU’s faculty since 2007, teaching courses centering on service learning, social issues, and leadership. “Before her class I could care less about service. Now, I think about it everyday” said Nudo.

Satkoski is known for getting involved in her students service based projects while giving them the tools to serve their community. Nudo credits Satkoski for giving her a greater respect for the community service that has helped her earn internships and scholarships. “Courtney has molded me into an all around better person.”
