BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – Lee County deputies are looking for a man believed to have sexually attacked a woman while dressed as a law enforcement officer Tuesday before 6:30 p.m.

He is described as wearing a police vest, dark pants and items that indicated he was a police officer, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. He also was carrying a handgun, LCSO said.

His victim allegedly let him into her home where he is accused of sexually battering her. Another adult woman and a 4-year-old child were in the home at the time but they were not hurt, LCSO said.

The suspect drove away in a silver or tan sedan and may be traveling to Miami-Dade County, according to LCSO.

Deputies could not confirm whether the man described in this sexual battery incident is connected to incidents involving an armed law enforcement impersonator in Fort Myers.

On Thursday, LCSO released a new composite sketch of the suspect.

If you can identify this suspect, contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 239-477-1000 or SWFL Crime Stoppers, 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
