NAPLES, Fla. – A man’s body was discovered just north of Naples Pier on Saturday, the Naples Fire Department said. Firefighters responded to a drowning call at about 5:15 p.m. CPR was administered on the man, who was later pronounced dead at North Collier Hospital. His identity was not immediately available. Water conditions were not abnormal, said the department, adding that the beach was packed for the holiday weekend.
