FORT MYERS, Fla. – Brand new data shows the number of fatal drunk driving crashes are on the rise, jumping more than 3% nationwide between 2014 and 2015. Here in Florida, even worse, a 14% increase in drunk driving fatalities. The biggest tragedy of all these lives lost to drunk driving is a simple fact, they could have likely been prevented. Lori Burke, the program director for Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Southwest Florida, joined us in the studio to help raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving.
