Burnt Store Road area residents ask for stakeholder meetingPolice believe car found in water at Trailhead Neighborhood Park connected to carjacking
AMATRICE, Italy (CNN) — A cat used one of its nine lives during last week’s devastating earthquake. Rescue workers were combing through the city with bulldozers when they spotted a white and gray tabby alive, according to Republic, an Italian news outlet. The Telegraph reports the animal’s owner had begged fire officials to find her cat, named Joy, saying her pet was all she had left. Fire crews pulled the thirsty kitty from the rubble and gave it some much-needed water. The moment lent some levity to an area that’s still trying to recover after nearly 300 people died in the magnitude-6.2 quake that happened Aug. 24.
