SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — The mother of missing San Carlos Park 9-year-old Diana Alvarez begged for the return of her daughter and pleaded for the community to remember the case Monday, three months after the girl’s May 29 disappearance. The mother, Rita Hernandez, reiterated during a press conference at her attorney’s office that she believes her daughter is still alive. The girl’s biological father won’t answer any of Hernandez’s phone calls, and, contrary to earlier belief, the father was never interviewed by the FBI, WINK News has learned.
