PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — A Charlotte County Jail inmate ate his own feces while a deputy watched and laughed, Collier County Sheriff Bill Prummel says. That led the sheriff to fire the deputy, who had been disciplined for his treatment of inmates in the past.
