FORT MYERS, Fla. – Three men faced a Lee County judge Thursday morning in connection with the killing of a 39-year-old Cape Coral man early Monday morning.

Michael Ivan Webb II, 23, of 3622 NE 12th Terrace in Cape Coral; Mariano St. Louis, 23, who is listed as homeless; and David Parker Zapata, 19, of 2221 NE 15th Lane in Cape Coral, are facing charges of homicide and robbery with a firearm. St. Louis faces an additional charge of burglary.

Webb remained in the Lee County jail on a $400,000 bond, St. Louis on a $550,000 bond and Zapata on a $180,000 bond. Their next court date is scheduled for Sept. 26.

Prosecutors said Zapata drove the vehicle used in the killing, St. Louis engaged with the victim and Webb helped plan the robbery and hid the gun. Authorities did not say which of the men fired the gun that killed Dayvin K. Johnson, who was found dead from a gunshot wound at 1216 NE 23rd Terrace at about 1:20 a.m. Monday.

An investigation into the homicide continued less than two hours after the trio appeared in court Monday. Police were seen searching the front of Johnson’s home, using metal detectors, chopping down tree branches and looking under bushes.
