Dozens of pets rendered homeless in Louisiana floods arrive to SWFL

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Paws of Lee County and Paws ‘N Pilots worked together to bring 80 dogs and cats to Southwest Florida in response to the record floods in Lousiana.

Thousands of people have been displaced from the waters, which also means trouble for the local pets.

Once the animals are seen by veterinarians, they will go up for adoption at the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
