Heat, humidity, scattered p.m. storms to continue

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Another hot and humid day is on tap for Southwest Florida.

Thursday’s high of 95 tied a record for Fort Myers. It should be only slightly cooler Friday, with highs near 93. Heat indices will soar to between 100 and 105.

The morning will be mostly dry with a few passing clouds as temperatures rise. A mix of sun and clouds will be the rule for the afternoon and evening as scattered storms develop.

The best chance of rain will come during the second half of the afternoon and into the evening. Lows tonight will be near 76.
