BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — A male bicyclist injured in an apparent hit-and-run crash Thursday morning at Nottingham Lane and Bonita Drive has died, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said. The sheriff’s office is withholding the name of the bicyclist until his next of kin can be notified. The crash took place shortly after 8 a.m., police said. The sheriff’s office believes he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Detectives are seeking public assistance to track down the driver of the vehicle.
