LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — One person was hurt in a shooting that took place around 6 a.m. Friday morning on Sara Avenue near the intersection with Fourth Street Southwest, authorities said. Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies are still looking for whoever opened fire at the victim, who was sitting in a pickup truck. The sheriff’s office insists the public is not in danger. Two bullet holes could be seen on the truck, and a witness said more than two dozen police cruisers were present in the area as an investigation took place. The victim’s injuries are not considered life-threatening. No further information is immediately available.
