Harriet the eagle returns to nesting site

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — Harriet the eagle is back at her former nesting site in North Fort Myers, photos show.

Harriet and her mate, M15, have been at the site off and on this summer, photographer Dee Kelly said. The eagles drew fans from across the area this past winter via the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam set up by North Fort Myers real estate agent Dick Pritchett.

The real estate firm has said the camera will be put back in place if the eagles rebuild their nest.

Harriet and M15’s eaglet E8, which hatched in January, continues to recover at the Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation on Sanibel after an apparent owl attack.
