Higher temps, scattered p.m. storms expected

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The heat will intensify Tuesday around Southwest Florida.

It’ll be hotter than it was Monday, with highs near 94. Heat indices will make it feel at hot as 100-105.

The morning will be mostly dry, mostly sunny, warm and humid, with partly cloudy conditions as it heats up around lunchtime. Rain chances will increase throughout the afternoon, with storms becoming scattered by late afternoon.

The rain will taper after the early evening hours. Lows will dip to near 76.
