Crime Stoppers: Few tips received following Club Blu shooting

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Not a single tip had been received more than 24 hours following the shooting at Club Blu that left two teenagers dead, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said Tuesday.

A total reward of $21,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrests of the person(s) responsible for the attack that killed Sean Archilles, 14, and Stef’an Strawder, 18, and injured 18 others.

Three of those injured still remain in the hospital as of Tuesday afternoon, Lee Memorial health officials said. Two are in critical condition and the third is in fair condition.

“We are confident that there are people who have information on the shooters involved, and the individuals who had clear intentions to incite murder and mayhem that morning,” said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers coordinator.

Authorities are attempting to speak to witnesses but few individuals are cooperating with the investigation, Crime Stoppers added.

“The information known by a significant number of individuals is pivotal to moving this case forward, and ensuring that the parties responsible for their deadly actions are brought to justice,” Routte said.

By 9 p.m., Crime Stoppers said they had received information from a few people.

Anyone with any information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward.  Tips may also be made online at www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
