FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – A man is accused of exposing himself twice to a little girl in the toy department at a Lee County Walmart, located at 17105 San Carlos Blvd., on Monday around 2 p.m.

The man, who is described as about 50 to 60 years old, approached a girl who was looking at toys, according to an incident report. He followed the girl while also exposing his genitals, deputies said.

The girl ran to her family but returned to the aisle where the man showed his genitals again, deputies said.

In both instances, the girl was away from her family, which was also in Walmart. The girl told her father about the man once the family returned to their hotel on Fort Myers Beach. He returned to the Walmart and authorities were called.

The man has not been caught.

Frequent shopper Sarah Radar said she brings her children to the Walmart at least three times a week. She said she is frightened.

“I don’t even know what to say, I don’t even know what to say. It’s disturbing,” she said. “I feel mad and angry actually, and horrified. I would flip out if somebody did that when my kids were with me.”

Thursday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office released images of a “person of interest” who authorities say “may have information that will assist in the investigation.”

Anyone with any information on the identity of the person is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 239-477-1000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
