You Scream, I Scream for National Ice Cream Day

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – Sunday, July 17th you might as well enjoy a sundae, in celebration of National Ice Cream Day.

Several ice cream shops across Southwest Florida are celebrating and the Royal Scoop is one of those. Home to more than 100 flavors with about 40 ready to serve at any given time, the Royal Scoop produced 90,000 gallons of ice cream last year.

On Sunday, the first 100 customers will receive free ice cream and you’ll have the chance to enter in a drawing to win 52 pints of ice cream, enough for an entire year. Customers can also take part in the 6th annual Brain Freeze Ice Cream Eating Contest for a chance to win cash and prizes. Participants must be signed up by 1:00 p.m. Sunday, contest starts at 1:15 p.m. the person to eat a quart of ice cream the fastest wins the contest.

The Royal Scoop will also host their Pint for Pint Blood Drive, at their Bonita location, by donating a pint of blood you’ll be rewarded with a pint of ice cream.
