Fort Myers, new police chief remain in contractual limbo

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Fort Myers City Council has postponed its plans to approve a contract for Derrick Diggs, who’s been tapped to become the next chief of the Fort Myers Police Department. Diggs wants his financial advisers to review the proposed arrangement, city manager Saeed Kazemi said.
