FORT MYERS, Fla. — Scattered storms will start a few hours earlier this afternoon than they did Wednesday across Southwest Florida.

Clouds will increase during the second half of the morning. A slight chance of rain exists for Hendry and Collier counties, but the morning will be mostly dry.

Skies will be mostly cloudy in the afternoon, and rain will be locally heavy, with gusty winds and lightning also possible. Highs today will be near 92.

Spotty storms will linger in the evening before sunset. Rain chances will be lower after the sun goes down. Overnight lows will dip to near 75.
