Man brings bat to burglary, is beaten batty instead

NORTH PORT, Fla. – Man breaks into home.

Man attacks occupants inside home – a couple and three young children – with black baseball bat.

Male adult resident is hit with bat, then puts man in bear hug.

Female adult resident takes bat, conducts batty beatdown on man.

Man gets away, leaving bat, baseball cap and bloody mess behind. Man later shows up at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte under fake name.

North Port police is contacted regarding someone with head injures matching man’s description.

Noah Jess Dassat, 33, of Santa Cruz, Calif., faces three charges of burglary of dwelling/structure armed and one count each of burglary dwelling/structure with battery and criminal mischief.

Dassat received no bond for the alleged burglary and “ultimately paid a hefty price,” North Port police said in statement.
