ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – Authorities say a central Florida elementary school principal is facing child porn charges. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Orlando reports that 59-year-old Ricky Delano Sheppard was arrested Friday and charged with possession of child pornography. He works at Holland Elementary School in Satellite Beach. A criminal complaint says agents with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office task force executed a search warrant Friday at Sheppard’s home. Computer experts reported finding hundreds of images of child pornography. Sheppard remained in custody, and a detention hearing was scheduled for Wednesday. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.
