MGN EAST NAPLES, Fla. — Authorities are looking for a driver who allegedly struck a pedestrian Friday at the intersection where U.S. 41, Rattlesnake Hammock Road and Thomasson Drive come together in East Naples. The man who was hit, 53-year-old Nicholas George Gregory of Marco Island, was able to walk away from the collision, but he later went to Naples Community Hospital with serious injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Gregory said the car that hit him while he was crossing the intersection was a light blue Honda or Mazda with damage to the left side. He last observed it traveling west on Thomasson Drive away from the scene. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call the FHP at 239-938-1800.
