WATCH: Surveillance camera deters suspected daytime burglars

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – Two suspected daytime home burglars were deterred from committing a crime Monday, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

The men pulled up in a dark-colored Honda with a gray hood to a home on Meadow Road and Sunshine Boulevard around 10:45 a.m., authorities said. When they walked to the front of the home, one of the men noticed the surveillance camera and is seen in footage signaling the other man. The two men then drove away.

Law enforcement believe the men were casing the home and are responsible for several other neighborhood burglaries during work hours.

Anyone with information on the identities of the two men is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
