Excessive lightning, 45-55 mph winds threaten Collier County until 3:45 p.m.

NAPLES, Fla. — The National Weather Service has issued a significant weather advisory for northwestern Collier County until 3:45 p.m.

Frequent to excessive lightning and wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph are associated with a line of strong thunderstorms, the weather service said. The line runs from 6 miles northwest of Orangetree, to near Golden Gate, to near Lely resort. It’s moving northwest at 10 mph.
