LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — A motorcyclist sustained minor injuries but no children were hurt in a crash involving a school bus Wednesday morning in Lehigh Acres. Seven students were aboard the bus, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The incident took place on Lee Boulevard just west of Hazelwood Avenue. The driver of the motorcycle was cited for an improper change of lanes, FHP officials said. The collision happened when the motorcyclist, 60-year-old Lehigh Acres resident Joseph Bierley, was driving behind the bus, changed lanes and quickly swerved back into the lane with the bus. It’s unclear if the bus was operational following the crash.
