Collier County authorities warning of jury duty scam

NAPLES, Fla.- Authorities in Collier County are warning residents of a jury duty phone scam.

Multiple people have received suspicious telephone calls from someone claiming to be “Lt. Graham” from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. The caller claims the victim has missed grand jury duty at the Collier County courthouse.

In at least one of the calls, the caller asked the victim to mail thousands of dollars in fines, CCSO said.

Deputies remind residents the sheriff’s office will never contact you by telephone about missing jury duty or threaten you with fines or arrest for missing jury duty.
