WASHINGTON (AP) – The New York Mets have placed Lucas Duda on the 15-day disabled list with a stress fracture in his lower back that’s expected to sideline him long term.

Manager Terry Collins estimates the first baseman will be out at least four to six weeks.

With Duda on the DL, the Mets picked up the contract of Ty Kelly from Triple-A Las Vegas. Eric Campbell was at first base Monday night against the Washington Nationals.

Collins said the team will try various options at first base, but for now those won’t include moving David Wright from third base.

Duda is hitting .231 with seven home runs and 19 RBIs.
