NAPLES, Fla.- The Community Blood Center at Naples Community Hospital says it’s nearing a dangerously low level of blood supply. The center says it usually tries to keep at least five days worth of blood on hand in case of emergencies but there has been a decline in donors. Now, there is only enough blood supply to last three days. The center is especially in need of donors with O negative and A negative blood. A one-time, 45 minute donation collects about one pint of blood, enough to help save three lives. The center is open Monday- Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and open late on Tuesdays until 7 p.m.
