NAPLES, Fla. – A man who attempted to rob the BB&T bank on Collier Boulevard and Immokalee Road Tuesday afternoon is in custody, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies ordered a bomb squad to respond to the area because the man, identified as 23-year-old Aaron Cody Brown, demanded cash and threatened to blow up the bank, according to deputies. The suspect’s vehicle was spotted on Rockledge Road and he was apprehended at that location, the sheriff’s office said. Residents were told to avoid the north end of Pebblebrook Plaza, which was cleared before 7 p.m. No further information was available.
