FORT MYERS, Fla.- A 78-year-old woman was arrested for selling marijuana after a two-month long investigation. Anita Edwards, who goes by the nickname “Grandma,” was known to sell large amounts of marijuana from her home on Ottumwa Avenue, according to her arrest report. Undercover detectives went to Edwards’ home three times in March and April, purchasing more than 30 grams of marijuana total during the visits, the report said. On April 29, the sheriff’s office served a search warrant on the home and uncovered 9.5 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $3,878 in cash. Edwards is expected in court on May 31.
