Girl walking home approached by stranger in East Naples

EAST NAPLES, Fla.- Collier County deputies are investigating a suspicious incident involving a child in East Naples Friday afternoon.

The 9-year-old girl was walking home from school Friday near Thomasson and Bayshore drives when an older man riding a black bicycle kept telling her to stop, deputies said.

The child did not speak to the man and kept walking until she made it home safely, authorities said.

The man is described as being around 50 years old with white hair and a white stubble facial hair. He was wearing green camo shorts and no shirt.
