Body recovered identified as missing North Port boater

PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- A body pulled from the waters at Burnt Store Marina on Sunday has been identified as a missing North Port boater, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Sixty-two-year-old James Winkler’s death has been ruled a suicide based on an autopsy performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office, deputies said.

No further details were immediately available.
