It’ll be The Time of Your Life, Dirty Dancing

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Fifth Third Bank Broadway Series at the Barbra B. Mann Preforming Arts Hall closes out their season in Fort Myers, with the production of Dirty Dancing.

Get set for some of the best dancing around as one of the most iconic stories from the summer of 1963 comes to life, as Johnny Castle and Baby have the time of their life. The show is full of non-stop dancing, vibrant summer colors and some of the quickest costume changes around, as Christopher Tierney, who plays Johnny Castle, can attest to.

“When I’m not on stage, I’m getting changed into something else but only from one pair of black pants to a different pair of black pants and one black shirt to a different black shirt,” said Tierney. Who also sports a classy tuxedo throughout their intense dance scenes that will have you standing on your feet.

Rachel Boone, who plays Frances “Baby” Houseman, says preforming for the audience every night is a thrill and the energy between Johnny and Baby doesn’t go unnoticed. “If you’re dancing with someone else and you have to meet them at their place in the same level, every show. It’s just really rewarding and very very fun but very very different,” said Boone.

Dirty Dancing plays through Sunday, May 1st at the Barbara B. Mann, to view all showtimes and purchase tickets, click here. The Barbara B. Mann Preforming Arts Hall is located at 13350 FSW Parkway, in Fort Myers on the Campus of Florida Southwestern State College.
