Lee County deputies raid Lotus Smoke Shop; manager arrested

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Investigators were seen conducting a raid at the Lotus Smoke Shop on Cleveland Avenue on Thursday afternoon.

A man listed as the smoke shop manager, Adnan Virani, 38, of Fort Myers is was arrested Thursday and booked into Lee County jail before 5 p.m., according to arrest records. There is no word on how his arrest is connected to the raid, but Virani is facing five charges for the sale and possession of drugs and narcotics.

Two crime scene vans pulled up to his business around 1:30 p.m. and investigators removed items from inside.
