LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – A single mother of four who lost her home and everything in it in Wednesday’s brush fire won’t have to go through the rebuilding process alone. One of her neighbors saw her story on WINK News and has stepped up to help. Dastani Homes Sales Manager Brian Goss lives less than two miles from the destroyed home. He said it could have easily been him. “I could have come home from work and had nothing just like she did,” said Goss. That’s what prompted him and his employer to take action. They’re offering to rebuild the home that burned down free of labor costs if the community can come together to raise the money. “A single mother with four kids, I can’t imagine how hard that would be without having your house burn down and losing everything,” said Goss. “There’s not much we can do about her furniture and her possessions but we can help her in the housing department.” Goss says the community would need to come up with more than $100,000 but in the meantime he has also offered to help her find a place to rent while her home is rebuilt.
