$900 in razors stolen from Cape Coral CVS

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- A couple used a child as a lookout while stealing $947 worth of razors from a CVS store, the Cape Coral Police Department said.

On Feb. 8, police say a man, woman, and child entered the CVS, 1611 NE Pine Island Rd, just before 3 p.m.

The woman approached the cashier and asked for help while the man went to the razor aisle. While the cashier helped the woman, police say the child stood at the end of the razor aisle.

The woman left soon after being helped but later returned and the trio left the store without appearing to purchase anything, police said.

After hearing the theft alarms go off at the front of the store, the cashier checked the razor aisle and discovered most of the Gillette razor products had been removed from the shelves, police said. The razor products had been stored inside individually locked cases that require a key to open.

Police say the male suspect is in his 30s, has a medium build, short dark hair and appears to have a slight beard, but may be clean-shaven.  He was wearing a red polo shirt and blue jeans.

The woman is described as being in her 30s with a thin build and long dark hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a black jacket with a purse, black gloves, blue jeans, and white shoes.

The suspects were driving a white hatchback SUV or mini-van, police said.

If you have any information on the identity of the suspects, contact the Cape Coral Police Department at 239-574-3223 or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
