Source: Woman's body found in Hendry County wooded area

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- The body of a woman has been found in a wooded area off Wheeler Road and 14th Place on the Lee- Hendry county line, a source in law enforcement said.

Neighbors say a group of teenagers found the decomposed body Wednesday night when they were riding around the area in a golf cart.

The identity of the woman or cause of death has not been released. Friends of missing woman Alberta Harris are convinced her body was left for dead.

No further details were immediately available.
