SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) – A military vehicle has overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike, leaving at least four soldiers injured. Two are in critical condition.

State police say the Humvee overturned in South Brunswick on Thursday afternoon.

They say a woman and man are in critical condition, and a second man is in serious condition. A third man was also taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

Photos from the scene showed the mangled truck upside-down against a guardrail. Soldiers used a jack to lift the Humvee off the trapped passengers. One of its tires had fallen off.

All southbound lanes were closed initially, but police now say car lanes and one truck lane have reopened.
