FORT MYERS, Fla. – Some of the best golfers from around the world have arrived in Fort Myers as the LPGA Symetra and Legends Tour got underway Thursday morning for first round play.

The Chico’s Patty Berg Memorial enters the 3rd year at Cypress Lake Country Club and on par to showcase some of the best players in women’s golf. From April 14th to April 17th, more than 150 of the top aspiring LPGA stars along with twelve of the top players from the Taiwan Ladies Professional Golf Association, will compete to win $30,000.

The combined tournament purse is at-least $350,000, one of only four tournaments on the Symetra Tour schedule with a prize value that high. “The Chico’s Patty Berg Memorial has become a staple in Fort Myers over the last two years,” said Tournament Director Matt Hoover. “The first year with the past greats and the future greats was a success and I’m excited to see all the young stars and all-time greats walk down the same fairways at Cypress Lake.”

Spectators can watch the tournament for free, all four days of play. The Chico’s Patty Berg Memorial is also helping to raise money for the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

Cypress Lake Country Club is located at 6767 Winkler Road in Fort Myers.
