CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Two Lee County high schools will represent Southwest Florida in the 2016 U.S. Army Cadet Command JROTC National Drill competition in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mariner and South Fort Myers high schools will compete against at least 60 other high school JROTC drill teams from around the country.

This is the second year Mariner High School is competing at the national level and the first year for South Fort Myers.

Once the teams return, they will prepare for the state championship the following weekend in Lakeland. More than 100 cadets from Lee County will compete in that competition.
