Plans unveiled for Immokalee Boys & Girls Club

IMMOKALEE, Fla. – School children will soon have a new Boys and Girls Club at the corner of North 11th Street and Roberts Avenue after a generous donation from the Lipman Family Farms.

The decision to donate $1 million was an easy one, Jamie Weisinger of the Lipman Family Farms said.

“My family and a lot of my family members went to school right here in Immokalee and the reason we all moved to Lee County and Naples and Collier County is because we didn’t have opportunities like the Boys and Girls Club when we were growing up,” Weisman said. “And if we had had that, who knows what would’ve happened.”
