Collier County deputies investigating death in Immokalee

IMMOKALEE, Fla.- A death on the 100 block of South 6th Street in Immokalee is under investigation, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded to the scene around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday morning when a man’s body was found on the porch of a home.

“He was laid there, curled up, almost like the fetal position,” said Bryan Redden, “puddle of blood underneath him and the top two steps there was some blood dripping off.”

The identity of the victim and a cause of death have not been released by the sheriff’s office.
