Mark Sievers formally charged with second-degree murder in wife's death

FORT MYERS, Fla.- The State Attorney’s Office formally filed charges against Jimmy Ray Rodgers and Mark Sievers on Friday in the death of Dr. Teresa Sievers.

Both men are each charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.

Mark Sievers was arrested on Feb. 26 for allegedly planning and helping to carry out his wife’s June 2015 killing. Rodgers was brought to Lee County in February after serving time for an unrelated probation violation.
